Sandra Bernhard is the auuthor of two previous books, Confessions of a Pretty Lady and Love, Love, and Love. She has written for numerous magazines, including Vanity Fair, People, Interview, US, Rolling Stone, Elle, Spin, and Spy. She lives in Los Angeles.

She has starred in her own one-woman Broadway show (and later film adaption), Without You I'm Nothing, as well as the stage shows Giving Till It Hurts and I'm Still Here...Damn It! Her albums include Without You I'm Nothing, Excuses For Bad Behavior, Part I, and I'm Your Woman, and she has had recurring roles on Roseanne and Ally McBeal.
