内容简介
《艺术学院大学英语基础教程》是由南京艺术学院人文学院英语教学**线的部分教师结合艺术学院英语教学实践而编写的精读教材，其教学对象是艺术学院或综合性大学艺术专业的一、二年级学生。
我们的编写构想是：以与艺术相关的语言材料为教材内容，着力于培养学生基本的语言运用能力，旨在为他们能够在今后的工作和社会交往中进行学科信息的交流打下一个基础。目前国际上有不少值得我们借鉴的英语教学理论，cbi（content—based esl instruction）理论便是当下国际上的语言教学理念之一，它倡导针对具体的教学对象采用与其学科相关联的真实的语言材料来进行语言技能的教学。我们认为这一理念对于艺术院校的英语教学改革是具有一定指导意义的。
