节选

This handicraft shop located at Gaoshengqiao, Chengdu is called “Blue Sheep”. As extraordinary as the shop’s name, every handicraft sold in the shop is made by minorities in poor mountainous areas and people with disabilities. The 75-year-old Rachel Grace Pinniger from England is the boss here. She, who came to Chengdu in 2008, still has an unaccomplished wish until now. Rachel says: “It’s very difficult to sell it. So just without really thinking, I said while I am in Chengdu, I will try and help you to sell it. My purpose is to try and find the gaps, where people have a need that’s not perhaps been met. And if we can try to fill that and help them, then I will keep going.” July 21, 2017, early this morning, Rachel and workers of the shop start off to Deyang of Mianzhu City, which is over 90 km away from Chengdu. Driving to purchase products personally like this has long been a part of the life for Rachel. She says: “The longest drive but I wasn’t driving, was when we had hovercraft expedition to the source of the Yangtze River. And we went from Chengdu up to Yushu, and then. Yeah, actually I drove back. Quite a lot of long distance driving, which I enjoy.”
