通过研究,该书发现:(1)“性状一事物”类概念隐喻从一致式到隐喻式的转变过程中,主要产生四种类型的概念意义变化,即语义抽象、语义概括、语义特化和语义模糊。(2)不同类型的经验意义变化在语料中呈现出有规律的分布模式。语义抽象是普遍性的变化,其他类型为具体变化。(3)语义抽象源于语义交联,经验意义的各种变化都有具体的词汇语法体现形式。该书还提出了“过程+性状+事物”三种语义范畴融合的“三重交联”。(4)语法隐喻中的人际和语篇意义的变化可分别从评价意义和指称系统的视角进行探讨。总体上讲,该书对语法隐喻在意义上的变化做了较为系统的分析阐释,在一定程度上进一步完善了语法隐喻理论。

本书在全面研究本领域已有研究成果的基础上,系统探讨语法隐喻理论的核心问题——一致式与隐喻式在意义上的差异性。本书以系统功能语言学理论为指导,基于语言的五大维度,通过实际语料的分析,结合语境,从词汇语法层面寻找意义变化的依据,通过聚焦“性状”转“事物”类概念语法隐喻,初步提出探讨人际和语篇意义变化的可行视角。

作者简介

董娟,女,英语语言文学博士,副教授,硕士生导师。2000年毕业于聊城大学英语教育专业,获学士学位;2003年毕业于上海理工大学外国语言学及应用语言学专业,获硕士学位;2018年毕业于同济大学英语语言文学专业,获博士学位。自2003年起任教于上海理工大学外语学院,曾获校教学比赛一等奖、课程优秀奖、“师德标兵”等奖项与荣誉称号,获全国高校英语教学大赛上海赛区二等奖。主要研究方向为系统功能语言学、外语教学理论与实践。主持教育部人文社科青年基金项目一项、上海理工大学人文社科基金和教师教育发展项目多项,在《外语教学与研究》《现代外语》等核心及其他期刊发表论文二十篇。
